G*Power is a statistical power analysis program. It is a major extension of, and improvement over, the previous version, covering many different statistical tests of the F, t, chi-square, and z test families as well as some exact tests. G*Power 3 provides improved effect size calculators and graphics options, it supports both a distribution-based and a design-based input mode, and it offers five different types of power analyses. Like its predecessors, G*Power 3 is free.

G.Power 3 is a major extension of, and improvement over, the previous versions. It runs on widely used computer platforms (i.e., Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.4) and covers many different statistical tests of the t, F, and χ 2 test families. In addition, it includes power analyses for z tests and some exact tests.
G*power For Mac
GPower is a free, open source program for power analysis and sample size calculations. It is available for both Windows and Mac. G.Power: Statistical Power Analyses for Windows and Mac G.Power is a tool to compute statistical power analyses for many different t tests, F tests, χ2 tests, z tests and some exact tests. G.Power can also be used to compute effect sizes and to display graphically the results of power analyses.
Release Notes Version 3.1.9.6:Fixed:
G-power Sample Size Calculator
- A bug in z tests: Generic z test: Analysis: Criterion: Compute alpha: The critical z was calculated incorrectly.
- A bug in t tests: Linear bivariate regression: One group, size of slope: |sy/sx| was sometimes calculated inccorrecty.
