A brand new and quite massive update for Borderlands 2 has just been released by Gearbox Software across the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms, solving many key issues, adding lots of highly requested features (like fresh Black Market items), and getting the game ready for the new Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack #2 DLC, which is out this week.
Borderlands 2 was released last September, and developer Gearbox has made an example of post-launch support by releasing lots of new DLC, constant updates and hot fixes, as well as working on fresh new content that will be released in the following months.
The best thing to do is to wait until he starts moving and you see his objective marker pointing down, which means he has gone down a ladder. Position yourself at the top of the ladder and continue waiting here until he has gone a consider distance from you before you drop down yourself. Borderlands 2 General Discussions Topic Details. I'm on the My Dead Brother Quest on the new DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep and I'm wondering, what happens if you kill Edgar, and what happens if you kill Simon? I Googled it, but there were no answers, I guess because the DLC is so new.
In order to get the game ready for the new Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack #2 DLC that's out this week, a fresh patch has been rolled out on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

My Dead Brother Borderlands 2
My Dead Brother
You will find Simon the Wizard just to the West of the Fast Travel station inside the Lair of Infinite Agony. Talk with him and he will “curse” you. The Vault Hunter can now talk with the dead and raise them. Simon wants you to go and find his brother: Edgar. Head on through to the Chamber of Woe through the Death Quencher Well and open the door to the North. Kill off the Necromancer who attacks you then go over to the right and look for the sword that is sticking in the ground nearby a small dip in the ground to the East. There are 4 skeletons that appear for you to wipe out. After that you have 5 Skeletars to deal with. Remember, you cannot really kill them until you pull the sword out from their back. After that you have a group of Burning skeletons that hunt you. Kill them off and you are through the first round of this search for Edgar.
Edgar was not in that pile so you need to track down the next one and check. Start off over to the West from the first pile. Get through to the Grim Stone Sepulcher and up into the Temple of Misworship. Go to the West from there through the open door into the hallway. Follow the hallway through to the Bone Barracks and start cutting through all the skeletons in there. Get to the center where you will find the next pile of corpses that you need to sort through in search of Edgar.
Interact with the corpse with the sword that has the skull on top of it. This will bring out another massive wave of skeletons to deal with. This includes a different variety of skeleton that seems to resist most types of damage. The good news is there is just one massive wave opposed to several smaller ones. Deal with each of the skeletons quickly. When you finish you will be sent off in search of another corpse pile to find Edgar.
Head on through to the Wailer's Drop and then into the Seer's Sanctum. There you will find the next group of dead bodies to check. Head up the stairs to the right and resurrect the bodies there. Once again you will find disappointment as none are the brother. This time you have numerous Badass Skeleton Warriors to deal with. Get through them and Simon will finally realize where his brother's corpse is: he has been sitting on it the whole time. You just need to head back to him and help him re-kill his brother just to be sure.
Head to the area just before the Sorcerer's Daughter. Turn to the South and go through the door to the East. You will find the hall with Simon in it: the Southern part of the Seer's Sanctum. With his revival you have a choice: Kill Edgar (for the Blue Shotgun) or Simon (for the Blue Assault Rifle). Choosing to kill Edgar puts you against a Flame Sorcerer while taking on Simon pits you against a Necromancer.
Rewards: $6,502, Blue Shotgun/Assault Rifle, XP: 2150
The Amulet
This is a mission that sometimes appears in The Lair of Infinite Agony. Just use the Fast-Travel station to move in and out until you see it appear. Once it does, head straight forward to the first elevator and take it on up then go over to the right and open the door. Go over to the left and you will see the marker. Talk with Mr. Miz who is over there and you are given a choice, buy the amulet or punch him in the face. Just the first time, buy the amulet, after that, punch him in the face or whatever you feel like. The amulet does not seem to have any effects aside from an achievement/trophy that is tied to it.
Rewards: $6,502, XP: 4301
